Hellooo, I’m Rachel!
I used to work at StockX where I art directed photoshoots and created a lot of paid social.
I have 15 years of experience designing for agencies, startups, automotive companies and myself.
Post-pandemic, I worked at General Motors as a UI Designer on in-vehicle apps for 4 years. GM is pretty locked down and many of my projects have not come to market, but I worked on apps across the Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Buick brands.
Happy to talk through my time there!
In 2024, I competed on the show Survivor and won! That doesn’t have much to do with design, but it does tell you something about me. When I put my mind to something, I tend to achieve it.
After living outside on a beach in Fiji pursuing a massive dream, coming home and being at my day job didn’t feel right for me anymore.
I decided to take a giant leap and co-founded a board game company.
As passionate jigsaw puzzlers and gamers, my partner Ryan Plaisted and I found an untapped niche in the board game market: competitive jigsaw puzzle games. Never one to back down from a challenge, we set out to design the first.
Puzzle Hungry: Umami Rush! launched on Kickstarter and was fully funded in less than 48 hours.
Social, web, out of home, print, UI, animation, branding, game design, entreprenuership and eating only coconut for 26 days—I’ve done it all.
I’m a jack of all trades.
I used to believe that was a bad thing, but I’ve come to recognize that it’s one of my biggest strengths. I’m quick to adapt and love learning new things.
Whether I’m working on a fun creative project or handling the more detailed, behind-the-scenes stuff, I find satisfaction in all of it.
I’m currently open to collaborations, freelance, events and panel appearances for the right fit!
Let’s work together!
